I was lucky enough at the weekend to visit the replica of Captain Cook's ship the Endeavour. This beautiful vessel is the star of the recent BBC series 'The Ship' .
She is currently moored at the Woolwich Arsenal in London and limited places are available for a sail up to Tower Bridge later this week.
On Cook's second voyage he carried with him Larcum Kendall's K1 pocket Chronometer, a copy of Harrison's famous H4. Both chronometers now reside in the Royal Obervatory in Greenwich.
